Today I had a meeting with now one of my mentors a Mister Andrew Pringle (Yes, I went to see A. Pringle. I’m somewhat sure he hasn’t heard that one before…)
Now that I have indeed been accepted on to the NEA scheme itself there is still an awful lot of paperwork that needs to be sorted. This week I hope to get as much done as possible.
Today I spent quite awhile on the delightful gov.uk website. Filled in my forms to begin the whole self assessment thing for tax and National Insurance etc etc.
This whole self assessment tax thing is new ground for me but thankfully appears to be quite painless. But then again I’ve just started I have yet to do an actual tax return yet. But so far so good.
Also been told to apply for tax credits so about to do that one and this week I hope to have my HB3 handed in.
Been going over my cash flow and profit and loss spreadsheets and so far I think so good. Going to get all this hopefully checked over in the new year.
Still unsure of name and what to write in the Executive Summery section but I do have some time left so I think I’m gonna be okay.

And also today I find one of my dearest friends in quite a bad situation. So; talking to you now hun… I would go as far as publicly announce on this blog that you have all my support. I promise you that and you know who you are 😉
Making good progress today with the 12 month forecast. To the point I am at this moment in time lacking one set of entries to go in and that is all the VAT type stuff I need to now spend some time looking at. But at the very least I now have a bare bones business plan down and this week ain’t quite over yet either.
I wasn’t planning to be at this stage til end of next week. I’m also happy as this means I can relax a little bit over the Christmas period. I however imagine I will be cramming in some extra hours somewhere over the season.
Funny enough for 4 months of my 12 my total outgoing is £666.
£666.90 to be exact.
Of course once the VAT figures go in that will change some but it did make me chuckle to myself.
